We have owned the agency since January 2008 when we purchased it from another family that had been running it since around January 2001.
What is your primary product or service?
Premium and Luxury Cruises, Group Cruises, Land packages including all-inclusive resorts, organized tours and more.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Denise's background includes a BS in Business Management from Clarkson University, Potsdam NY. She spent 4 years in the US Army as a supply and logistics officer. With an additional 10 years in the corporate world managing supply and logistics, she bought a franchise. Denise enjoyed starting this business from scratch and building it into a successful business. She sold it and began looking for another business opportunity outside franchising. With Denise's love of cruising, this business opportunity seemed a perfect fit. The previous owners passed on a wealth of knowledge about the travel business and remain excellent consultants today.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Excellent Customer Service, Above and Beyond Attitude and Best Pricing. Once you make a reservation with Best Cruise Buy and Sensational Vacations, we monitor the prices. If they go down, we contact the vendor to request the lower price. What other agency does this?
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are a boutique agency with a worldwide presence through the web. We have only one location, in Austin, TX, with no plans to expand. We are small and we like it that way. We want to ensure our client's receive our personal attention.
