How long have you been in business?
Affordable Bedding opened in 2001. We are one of the oldest local family owned mattress stores in Asheville.
What is your primary product or service?
Mattresses, Futons and Beds. Affordable Bedding, Inc., is a Kingsdown mattress authorized factory dealer. We are a full-service sleep shop specializing in luxury mattresses for less. We specialize in high end North Carolina made luxury mattresses. Our mattress store is well-known for meeting the sleep and bedding needs of all types of buyers - first-time home buyers, young couples, empty-nesters, those with special sleep needs, including rental properties. While most of our customers are from the local area, we also are proud to serve customers throughout the United States.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Before starting Affordable Bedding I managed a family owned furniture store for over 11 years that my uncle owned. This is where I learned the trade and applied what worked to Affordable Bedding and left behind what I saw that work. To fulfill my lifelong passion to start my own business I started Affordable Bedding.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My goal has always been to provide quality sleep products that I personally believe in. To help keep the prices low and the quality high we have been able to create a mostly referral based business. This allows Affordable Bedding to live up to its name since we don't have to spend unnecessary money on advertising which in turn allows us to keep our prices so low. We offer over 20 different mattresses and many sleep related products to meet the needs of its diverse customer base. Because Affordable Bedding mission is to provide the highest degree of friendly, personalized customer service while offering top-of-the-line mattress products at affordable prices, we are proud to say that we are a Asheville, NC referral-based business. Our satisfied customers are our greatest asset!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is our only location. To help keep our service and reputation in excellent standing we do not plan on expanding to more location in the near term. Thanks to the internet we able to ship some of our Kingsdown mattresses anywhere in the U.S.

We are a corporation owned by family members.
